The technological, scientific and creative ingenuity of the African American race has been one aspect of American history that has not been properly recognized or was thought of as insignificant in the building of this great nation. Often, because a person of color made a significant invention that helped forever changed the way that the average American live his or her life, no credit was given to the inventor simply because it was widely understood that people of color were incapable of creating or inventing something that mainstream America could not do.
