Bone Island Grillhouse strives to provide a family-friendly, casual dining experience that’s unique and memorable, not only for the quality of the food, but also the service and atmosphere. “We have a saying,” states Kara Fuller, President of BIG Restaurants, LLC. “Break the chain: Eat local.”

Fuller assures that over 90% of the restaurant’s entire menu is made in-house. “We’re proud to say we keep the cooks in the kitchen. You know, so much of the food we eat these days arrives in a bag. You cut it open, add water, pop it in the microwave. That is not what we do here.” When asked how she would describe the restaurant, she smiles. “We define WHO we are, but we let the guest define WHAT we are.”

The menu is diverse, with something for everyone — steak, seafood, pasta, and more. “All our beef is Certified Angus Beef, from rib eyes to sirloins,” she says. “Our signature dish is Shrimp & Grits, which was a Readers’ Choice winner in Cooking With Paula Deen magazine’s Top 10 Shrimp & Grits To Try.” She adds, “Anyone who hasn’t tried them yet, needs to.”
