Officers with Eatonton Police Department and troopers with the Georgia State Patrol conducted road checkpoints throughout the city Saturday night, Aug. 18, resulting in several arrests.
“We are continuously working to keep unsafe drivers off our roads, and our efforts are in cooperation with the state patrol,” Lawrence said Monday. “I appreciate the dedication of our officers to ensure people traveling the roads of Eatonton are not in harm’s way.”
Arrests that night included:
Nestor Garcia Canales, 28, Milton Dr., Eatonton – DUI-alcohol, DUI-endangerment of child, driving while unlicensed;
Robby O’Brian Clements, 53, Loblolly Dr., Eatonton – DUI-alcohol, driving while license suspended or revoked;
Patrick Eugene Glover, 48, Milledgeville Rd., Eatonton – driving while license suspended or revoked;
Brian Kurina, 39, Magnolia St., Eatonton – driving while unlicensed or expired; and
Holly Marie Taylor, 35, Sparta Hwy., Eatonton – Violation of Georgia Controlled Substance Act – possession of marijuana less than 1 oz., drugs not kept in original container, possession of Controlled Substance III.
