Beverly Ann Reynolds Chalmers
The funeral service for Mrs. Beverly Reynolds Chalmers, 59, was Saturday, Nov. 26, 2016 in Marshall Memorial Baptist Church with the Rev. Scott Harrell officiating. Interment followed in Crestlawn Cemetery.
Mrs. Chalmers was a native of St. Petersburg, Fla., but had made her home in Eatonton for a number of years. She was preceded in death by her mother, Mary Ann Harrell Reynolds; a daughter, Donna Shackleford; and her husband, John Chalmers.
Survivors include her daughter, Dawn Reynolds; four sons, Matt Pippin, Ray Pippin, Chris Shackleford, Curtis Shackleford; her father, Willie Reynolds, three sisters, Robin Guwin, Neva Evans and Shirley Campbell; three brothers, Wain Harrell, Randy Reynolds and Billy Harrell; and a number of other relatives.

Walter Martin “Marty” Boyett, 55, of Porterdale passed away Friday, December 16, 2016.
A memorial service was conducted Monday, Dec. 19 at the Chapel of J.C. Harwell and Son Funeral Home in Covington.
Marty was born Jan. 30, 1961 in Atlanta to the late Iva and Martha ResseauBoyett.He was an avid University of Georgia Bulldog fan, he loved playing cards and enjoyed watching his grandchildren play sports. He also loved his Mama very much.Marty grew up in Eatonton and attended Putnam County Schools and enjoyed playing trumpet in the school band.

Mr. Dailonis “Dale” Drizneris, 70, passed away Monday, Nov. 28, 2016.

Mr. Drizneris was a native of Hamburg, Germany.

Papa Dale, as his grandchildren called him, loved wood working, fishing and his Harley Davidson.
Survivors include his wife and significant other, Linda Pressley of Eatonton; two stepsons, Chris (Candy) Sullivan and Tracy (Brooklynn) Sullivan, all of Covington; four grandchildren, Shaylah Sullivan, Buck Sullivan, Will Sullivan, and Abel Fox, all of Covington; and two great-grandchildren, Liam Langford and Jaxson Sullivan, both of Covington

Nita Anderson, 81, of Eatonton, passed away Sunday, Nov. 27, 2016.
A memorial service is planned at Vining Ivy Hill Chapel for Saturday, Dec. 3 at 3 p.m.
Ms. Nita was born in Woodland, Ala. Nov. 8, 1935 to the late K.T. and Esther Gosdin. She lived in Macon and was a member of Vineville Baptist Church before moving to Eatonton more than 20 years ago.

Mary Evelyn Ivey Henry Brooks, 95 passed away Wednesday, Nov. 16, 2016.
The funeral service was Saturday, Nov. 19, in the chapel of Moores Funeral Home with Dr. Jerry Pickard officiating. Burial was private in Westview Cemetery.
Mrs. Mary was preceded in death by her parents Osmer and Carrie Greene Ivey, her husband’s Lawrence LeVon HenrySr. and Nat Brooks; and seven brothers and three sisters.

Kay Batchelor

Kay Batchelor, 69, of Eatonton, passed away unexpectedly at her residence.

The funeral service was Sunday, Nov. 13, 2016 at Mount Ararat United Methodist Church. 

Kay Batchelor was born in Vernon, Wis. on May 2, 1947 to the late Earl Carden and Doris McElhose.

She was a member of Mount Ararat United Methodist Church in Eatonton. She had a passion for working in her yard, cooking for the church and was always reading her Bible. She was hardworking and very dedicated to her family. She was preceded in death by her father, Earl Carden.

Survivors include her mother, Doris Faulkner; two children, Barry Batchelor and Robin (Scott) Richardson; six grandchildren, Jennifer, James, Ricky Batchelor and Brad, Kayla Richardson and Tyler Batchelor; two great-grandchildren, Rebeca and Daniel Gierok; two sisters, Dollie (Howard) Bagley and Maryann Brown; and two brothers, Earl (Debra) Carden and Robert Carden.

Turner “Holmes” Cunningham
Aug. 29, 1922-Nov. 1, 2016
Turner “Holmes” Cunningham, 94, passed away peacefully at his home in Newnan surrounded by family Nov. 1, 2016.
The funeral service was Saturday, Nov. 5 in the chapel of McKoon Funeral Home with the Rev. Dan Akins. Burial followed in Pine Grove Cemetery in Eatonton.
Holmes was born Aug. 29, 1922 at home in Shellman to the late Velma Holmes Cunningham and Robert Douglas Cunningham
Along with his parents, Holmes is preceded in death by his loving and caring wife, Gerry Cunningham, whom he was married to for more than 67 wonderful years. Holmes was the second oldest of five children; brothers Doug and Harold along with his sister, Edna Claire have also passed on. His surviving sister, Carolyn “Shug” Walton recently celebrated her 88th birthday and resides in Eatonton.

Hazel Brown

Hazel Brown, 77, of Eatonton passed away Oct. 29, 2016.
The funeral service was Wednesday, Nov. 2, 2016 at Vining Ivy Hill Chapel. Burial followed in Crestlawn Memorial Gardens.
Hazel was born Sept. 7, 1939 in Statham to the late Ruben Welton Miller and Isabel Bradshaw Miller.

She was a member of Eatonton Pentecostal Holiness Church,  enjoyed beading jewelry, sewing and spending time with her family.  She also enjoyed the time she worked at the Eatonton Walmart store.
Survivors include her loving husband of 55 years, Clyde Brown; a daughter, Tami Screws (Curtis); three grandchildren, Tyler Screws, Lee Screws (Farran), Trey Screws (Danielle) and four great-grandchildren, Levi, Demi, Roxanne and Barrett Screws.

Vining Ivy Hill Chapel had charge of the arrangements.
