Mr. Dailonis “Dale” Drizneris, 70, passed away Monday, Nov. 28, 2016.
The funeral service will be private.
Mr. Drizneris was a native of Hamburg, Germany. Papa Dale, as his grandchildren called him, loved woodworking, fishing and his Harley Davidson.
Survivors include his wife and significant other, Linda Pressley of Eatonton; two stepsons, Chris (Candy) Sullivan and Tracy (Brooklynn) Sullivan, all of Covington; four grandchildren, Shaylah Sullivan, Buck Sullivan, Will Sullivan, and Abel Fox, all fo Covington; and two great-grandchildren, Liam Lankford and Jaxson Sullivan, both of Covington.

Nita Anderson, 81, of Eatonton, passed away Sunday, Nov. 27, 2016.
A memorial service is planned at Vining Ivy Hill Chapel for Saturday, Dec. 3 at 3 p.m.
Ms. Nita was born in Woodland, Ala. Nov. 8, 1935 to the late K.T. and Esther Gosdin. She lived in Macon and was a member of Vineville Baptist Church before moving to Eatonton more than 20 years ago.

Mary Evelyn Ivey Henry Brooks, 95 passed away Wednesday, Nov. 16, 2016.
The funeral service was Saturday, Nov. 19, in the chapel of Moores Funeral Home with Dr. Jerry Pickard officiating. Burial was private in Westview Cemetery.
Mrs. Mary was preceded in death by her parents Osmer and Carrie Greene Ivey, her husband’s Lawrence LeVon HenrySr. and Nat Brooks; and seven brothers and three sisters.

Kay Batchelor

Kay Batchelor, 69, of Eatonton, passed away unexpectedly at her residence.

The funeral service was Sunday, Nov. 13, 2016 at Mount Ararat United Methodist Church. 

Kay Batchelor was born in Vernon, Wis. on May 2, 1947 to the late Earl Carden and Doris McElhose.

She was a member of Mount Ararat United Methodist Church in Eatonton. She had a passion for working in her yard, cooking for the church and was always reading her Bible. She was hardworking and very dedicated to her family. She was preceded in death by her father, Earl Carden.

Survivors include her mother, Doris Faulkner; two children, Barry Batchelor and Robin (Scott) Richardson; six grandchildren, Jennifer, James, Ricky Batchelor and Brad, Kayla Richardson and Tyler Batchelor; two great-grandchildren, Rebeca and Daniel Gierok; two sisters, Dollie (Howard) Bagley and Maryann Brown; and two brothers, Earl (Debra) Carden and Robert Carden.

Turner “Holmes” Cunningham

Turner “Holmes” Cunningham, 94, passed away peacefully at his home in Newnan surrounded by family Nov. 1, 2016.
The funeral service was Saturday, Nov. 5 in the chapel of McKoon Funeral Home with the Rev. Dan Akins. Burial followed in Pine Grove Cemetery in Eatonton.
Holmes was born Aug. 29, 1922 at home in Shellman to the late Velma Holmes Cunningham and Robert Douglas Cunningham
Along with his parents, Holmes is preceded in death by his loving and caring wife, Gerry Cunningham, whom he was married to for more than 67 wonderful years. Holmes was the second oldest of five children; brothers Doug and Harold along with his sister, Edna Claire have also passed on. His surviving sister, Carolyn “Shug” Walton recently celebrated her 88th birthday and resides in Eatonton.

Hazel Brown, 77, of Eatonton passed away Oct. 29, 2016.
The funeral service was Wednesday, Nov. 2, 2016 at Vining Ivy Hill Chapel. Burial followed in Crestlawn Memorial Gardens.
Hazel was born Sept. 7, 1939 in Statham to the late Ruben Welton Miller and Isabel Bradshaw Miller.

She was a member of Eatonton Pentecostal Holiness Church,  enjoyed beading jewelry, sewing and spending time with her family.  She also enjoyed the time she worked at the Eatonton Walmart store.
Survivors include her loving husband of 55 years, Clyde Brown; a daughter, Tami Screws (Curtis); three grandchildren, Tyler Screws, Lee Screws (Farran), Trey Screws (Danielle) and four great-grandchildren, Levi, Demi, Roxanne and Barrett Screws.

Vining Ivy Hill Chapel had charge of the arrangements.

Ella Suzette Chaffin Chalker

Funeral services for Ella Suzette Chaffin Chalker, 62, were Sunday, Sept. 4, 2016 in Williams Funeral Home chapel of Eatonton with the Rev. John McMillan officiating.

Mrs. Chalker was a native of Monticello, but made her home in Eatonton for a number of years. She was the daughter of the late Allen Fielding Chaffin and Janice Murell Shipman Jarrett.

Survivors include her husband, A.D. Chalker of Eatonton; daughters, Krissi (Matt) Bristow of Columbus, S.C. and Jana Scott of Atlanta; sisters, Allane (Richard) Underwood of Twin City, and Lynn (Bob) Jordan of Monticello; brother Phil (Malintha) Chaffin of Monticello; grandfather, Bobby Greer of Monticello; grandchildren, Kelsey Walton, Kenslee Ivey, Sophie Bristow, Cade Bristow, and Mia Bristow.

Betty Cook

The funeral service for Mrs. Betty Farmer Cook, 82, of Milledgeville was Tuesday, Sept. 13, 2016 in Williams Funeral Home Chapel of Milledgeville with the Rev. Kenny Walker officiating. Burial was private.

Mrs. Cook was a native of Butler, and had made her home in Macon for 26 years before moving to Lake Sinclair in 1976. She was predeceased by her parents, Edward and Willie Mae Farmer; her husband, William Franklin Cook; and a sister, Johnny Mae Farmer. 

She was a homemaker and a member of Victory Baptist Church.

Survivors include a daughter, Denise (Donnie) Coburn; a son, Karl Cook; granddaughters, Christin Coburn, Katelyn Coburn and Sommer (Sanin) Saracevic; and great-grandchildren, Leo and Ame’ Saracevic, all of Milledgeville.

Ed Willie Dorsey was born Aug. 17, 1927 in Eatonton, to the late Ed Willie Dorsey Sr. and Sallie Mae Dorsey. He attended Putnam County Schools and finished his education in Fort Valley. As a lifelong resident of Eatonton, he was a dedicated employee of Enterprise Aluminum before retiring after 42 years there.

Ed Willie joined Jefferson Baptist Church and later resumed at Greater Jefferson Baptist Church, where he remained a faithful member until his health failed.

Ed Willie had a love for singing and playing music. He started singing with the Dorsey Brothers at an early age. He was a self-taught musician and an avid guitar player. He also loved gardening and architecture.
