Margaret Estelle Greeson Sellers, age 93 of the Greshamville Community in Greene County died Sunday, January 7, 2018 at Piedmont Athens Regional Hospital.
Funeral services were Wednesday, January 10, 2018 at Fork Chapel United Methodist Church in Madison with Rev. Dr. Tony Gavalas and Rev. Guy Roberts officiating. Interment followed in New Hope Baptist Church Cemetery. Pallbearers were The Eatonton Police Department Honor Guard.

Mrs. Sarah Frances Hallman
Mrs. Sarah Frances Hallman, age 91 passed away Saturday, January 6, 2018 in Eatonton.
Funeral services were Tuesday, January 9, 2017 at Vining Ivy Hill Chapel. Burial followed in Knowles Chapel Cemetery in Sparta.
Ms. Sarah was born in Madison to the late William Samuel Hall and Bertha Alexander Hall. She had lived in Eatonton most of her life, and was a member of the Pentecostal Holiness Church. She enjoyed reading, gardening, cooking and was known for her biscuits and candy making. She was preceded in death by her husband, Clark Hallman, and a daughter, Ellen Johnson.
Survivors include three children; Peggy Allen of Monticello, Jimmy (Charlotte) Culberson and Faye (Mike) Guyton, all of Eatonton; eight grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; eight great-great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions be made to the Alzheimer’s Association.

Wyleen Towns Haskins
Wyleen Towns Haskins, age 77, of Eatonton died Thursday, December 28, 2017 following a lengthy illness.
Funeral services were Saturday, December 30, 2017 in the chapel of Vaughn Funeral Home in McRae, with burial in Central Grove Cemetery.
A native of McRae, Mrs. Haskins was the daughter of the late Guy C. and Christine Briley Towns. She was a homemaker and a member of Lake Shore Community Church. She was preceded in death by a sister, Guynell Kennedy, and a brother, Paul Towns.
Survivors include her husband, Stuart Haskins of Eatonton; children, Stephanie (Jimmy) Touhy of Eatonton, Selena (Lee) Yancey of Gray, and Jason (Lacie) Haskins of Gordon; brothers and sisters, Wyoma (Gene) Johns of Warner Robins, Eloise (Jack) Yawn of Rhine, Jean (Ralph) Horne of Helena, Daniel (Pam) Towns of Hazlehurst and David Towns of Chauncey; a grandchild, Colin Haskins; caretakers, Tracie Shinholster and Angela Hall and several nieces and nephews.

Sam Farley, Sr.

Mr. Sam (Jazz) Farley, Sr. departed this life Sunday, December 10, 2017.
Funeral services were Saturday, December 16, 2017 at Pleasant Grove Baptist Church in Eatonton, with burial following in Pleasant Grove Cemetery.
Mr. Farley was born February 23, 1928 to the late Ceasar and Ester Lee Farley, both preceded him in death. He and his wife of sixty-five years, Mrs. Elbulah (Key) Farley raised fourteen wonderful children. A son, Phillip Farley, also preceded him in death.

Mary Elizabeth Nash Gorley, age 101 died Monday, December 18, 2017 following a brief illness.
Funeral services will be at 11am Thursday, December 21, 2017 at Ebenezer Baptist Church, 100 Willie Bailey Street, Eatonton, GA with Rev. Matthew Dennis Jr., Pastor officiating.
Mrs. Gorley was born November 12, 1916 in Eatonton to the parents of Ben and Lizzie Nash. She was united in holy matrimony to the late Deacon Robert Gorley, Sr. and with this union ten children were born. She joined Ebenezer Baptist Church and served on the Deaconess Board. She finished her earthly journey and transitioned into her heavenly home Monday, December 18, 2017. She was preceded in death by six of her children, Andrew, Johnny, Sylvester, Robert Jr., Paul Stanley and Larry Eugene Gorley.

Janice Neal Pope, age 75 of Wrightsville passed away Friday, December 1, 2017.
A memorial service was held Tuesday, December 5, 2017 in the Chapel of Townsend Brothers Funeral Home in Dublin.
Mrs. Pope was a graduate of Dublin Highschool and was retired from the Georgia Department of Corrections. She loved her family and enjoyed cooking, entertaining and helping others. Janice was preceded in death by her husband, Chester Glen Pope; her parents, Harold Lee Neal and Eula Shields Stone Neal; a son, Floy “Bud” Holt; a step-daughter, Glenda Pope, and a brother, Lee Neal.

Mr. Bruce Cooper, age 40, affectionately known as ‘Beanie’ by his family, ‘DJ Fubu’ by his friends, and ‘DJ Bruce Wonder’ by the world, was born on January 30, 1977 in Milledgeville to Rebecca (Harold) Norwood. He departed his earthly life Monday, October 30, 2017 peacefully in the comfort of his home of Macon.
On May 21, 2008 Bruce married his best friend, Latekia Little. He lived out his life-long dream and passion for DJ-ing around the world. From humble beginnings with Corris “King Lee” Brown and his continued dedication to the perfection of the craft, he became the Official DJ for Soulja Boy Tell'em of Collipark Records.

Mr. Christopher "Chris" Daniel Crane, age 31 passed away Sunday, November 12, 2017.
Funeral services were Thursday, November 16, 2017 at Northside Baptist Church in Milledgeville with Taylor Tom and Dr. Jerry Pickard officiating. Interment followed in Mt. Ararat Methodist Church Cemetery.
Mr. Crane was a native and lifelong resident of Baldwin County.
Survivors include his parents, Danny and Rita Crane of Haddock; a sister, Jennifer Renee Crane of Atlanta; and two brothers, Shane Wright of Eatonton, and Ravi Whadwani of Jacksonville, FL.

Beth Vaughn Adams

Beth Vaughn Adams passed away peacefully Sunday, November 5, 2017 at her home.
Beth had a kind and loving heart, and it had suffered since the loss of her greatest love, and closest friend, her husband Robert passed away five years ago. She could no longer bear the pain. Heaven gained another angel, along with a large piece of the hearts of everyone who loved her. Beth was born in Macon October 9th, 1954 to the late Charles Vaughn and Judith Vaughn of Macon. She was preceded in death by her parents Charles and Judith Vaughn and her husband of 40 years, Robert Adams. Beth will be greatly missed by all who knew her and had the pleasure of having her in their life. She was an amazing woman, mother, grandmother, sister, wife and friend. Heaven truly gained an angel the day the Lord took her Home.

Barbara Ann Baines

Barbara Ann Baines, age 80, departed this life Tuesday, October 17, 2017 in a local Bibb County hospital.
Funeral services were held Monday, October 23, 2017 at St. John AME Church with Rev. Wayne Griffin, Sr. pastor officiating. Interment followed in the East Eatonton Cemetery.
Barbara also known as “Doll” was born February 8, 1937 in Eatonton and was the daughter of the late Tweedy Hadley and Dolly Harper. She attended and graduated from Butler Baker School in Eatonton. At an early age, she became a member of St. John AME Church. She later became a dietary aide, and worked diligently for many years at Eatonton Health and Rehabilitation Center. She enjoyed spending time with family and friends. Playing cards was her favorite hobby. She is preceded in death by her granddaughter, Traviana Parham and parents, Windford Warren and Lillie Warren.
