Ronald Melvin Booth

Ronald Melvin Booth passed away at his residence on June 28, 2018.
A visitation was held on June 30, 2018, at Crossroad Baptist Church. The burial was at Arnoldsville Cemetery in Arnoldsville, Ga.
Ronnie was born in Oconee County to the late David Alfred and Mary Willie Carter Booth. He has lived in Eatonton for the past 66 years and was retired from Georgia Power. He was a member of the Eatonton/Putnam Rescue Squad from 1976- 2006 and had also served in the United States Army. He was a coach for the Recreation Department and Gatewood and was a member of Crossroads Baptist Church. Ronnie was preceded in death by a grandson T.J. Booth. 
He is survived by his loving wife of 46 years, Kathy Hester Booth, of Eatonton; his children, Ryan (Sabrina) Booth, Sean (Jamie) Booth, James David Booth and Karon Booth and also adopted son Scott Sorrow; Two brothers, Donald Booth and David Ray Booth; one sister, Cathy Goss; six grandchildren, Christie, Maggie, Ramsey, Alicia, Ashley and Annie; one great-grandchild, Maisy; and several nieces and nephews and great-nieces and nephews.
The family requests that in lieu of flowers donations be made to Crossroads Baptist Church Building Fund. 
Vining Ivy Hill Chapel was in charge of arrangements.


Wayne Marshall Moore

Wayne Marshall Moore Sr., 76, of Eatonton, Ga. passed away June 27, 2018, in Athens, Ga.
The service was held on July 1, 2018, at Roswell Funeral Home.
He was born in Sandy Springs, Ga. to the late Hulon and Viola Waters Moore. He retired as a Fire Apparatus Operator from the Fulton County Fire Department before moving to Eatonton.  Wayne moved from Alpharetta, Ga. to Eatonton 20 years ago and served as a District Fire Chief of Putnam County Fire Department and a volunteer of the Twin Bridges Fire Department for 15 years. He was also an active member of Crossroads Baptist Church. He is preceded in death by his wife of 41 years, Barbara Keeter Moore.
He is survived by his wife of eight years, Sheila Gail Moore of Eatonton; his children Randy (Lori) Moore, of Ballground, Ga., Marty (Sandy) Moore, of Eatonton and Jennifer (David) Lewis, of Cumming, Ga; one brother, Morris Moore, of Sandy Springs; one sister, Gayle Whitman, of Monroe, Ga; six grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Vining Ivy Hill Chapel oversaw all local arrangements.


Thomas Tietjen
April 7, 1961- June 28, 2018
Thomas Tietjen, 57, passed away unexpectedly on June 28, 2018.
The visitation was on Monday, July 2, 2018, at Vining Ivy Hill Chapel and burial was after the service at Union Chapel United Methodist Church. 
He was born on April 7, 1961, in Jersey City, N.J. to Dorothea Milford of Pennsylvania and the late Henry Joseph Tietjen. Thomas was a kind soul who was a member of Union Chapel United Methodist Church. He enjoyed fishing, watching the night sky, laughing, going to the beach with his metal detector and had an artifact collection.
Thomas is survived by his daughter, Emily Betsch-Tietjen; his mother, Dorothea Milford of Pennsylvania; sisters, Christine Milford and Victoria Colmorgan, of Pennsylvania, Catherine Cooksey and Lucy Chapin, of Florida and Susan Haver of North Carolina; brothers, Henry Tietjen and Michael Tietjen, of Pennsylvania.
Vining Ivy Hill Chapel was in charge of the arrangements.
