Sandra "Sandy" Elizabeth McKissen Hamblin

Mrs. Sandra "Sandy" Elizabeth McKissen Hamblin, 70, passed away on Sunday, June 10, 2018.  Funeral services were conducted on Friday, June 15, 2018 at Georgia Veterans Memorial Cemetery Chapel with Rev. Larry Glover officiating.  

Mrs. Hamblin was a native and lifelong resident of CA and had lived in Milledgeville for the past two and a half years. She was preceded in death by her father, Guy Euall McKissen.

She is survived by her husband, Larry Hamblin, of Milledgeville; daughters, Candice Caldwell, of Eatonton, and Cynthia. E. Greathouse (Stephen), of Senoia; son, Kenneth Ray McKinney, Jr. (Christie), of Kings Bay, Ga.; mother, Pearl P. Powell McKissen; sister, Steven Russell Hamblin; nine grandchildren, and seven great grandchildren.

 Robert “Bobby” Wesley Bullock

July 29, 1957- June 7, 2018

Robert “Bobby” Wesley Bullock, 60, passed away peacefully on Thursday, June 7, 2018, at UF Shands in Gainesville, Fla. 

A service was held Monday, June 11, 2018, at First Baptist Church in Monticello, Fla. 

Bobby was born in Thomasville, Ga., on July 29, 1957, to the late Betty Jean (Warren) and William W. Bullock of Monticello, Fla. He was a 1975 graduate of Jefferson County High School. Bobby worked construction for W.S. Lee Company of Tallahassee, Fla., and moved to Eatonton, Ga. in 1988 where he became a successful business owner and met the love of his life, Peggye. Bobby and Peggye married on November 18, 1989, in Monticello, and lived in Eatonton. Bobby managed his own Badcock Home Furnishing Center for 23 years from 1988 to 2011. He moved back to Monticello in 2012 when he closed his store. He was then self-employed in construction until his death. Bobby enjoyed hunting and fishing and was an excellent chef. He also was an avid fan of the University of Florida Gators. Go Gators!!!

Bobby is survived by his wife of almost 29 years, Peggye (Kirkley) Bullock; three children, daughter, Elizabeth Hammock of Eatonton, Ga., son, Lee Hammock of Eatonton, Ga. and son, Luke (Emily) Bullock, of Winter Haven, Fla.; three grandchildren whom he loved dearly, Jacey, Jaden and Kaylee; two brothers, William (Deborah) Bullock and Wallace (Diane) Bullock; a sister, Jean (Perry) Marsh; and several nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts, uncles and some great, lifelong friends.

Bobby left this earth happy, content, and fulfilled having surrendered his life to God in the last few months of his life. “I have fought the good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith.” 2 Tim. 4:7
