Scott Bruce
Mr. Edward Scott Bruce, 51, passed away Monday, May 1, 2017.
Memorial services will be held Saturday, May 27, 2017 at 1 PM at the family residence, 214 Scuffleboro Road in Eatonton.
Mr. Bruce was a native of Augusta and lived in Gwinnett County before moving to Putnam County five years ago. He was the son of the late Edward Bruce and Katherine Slappley Welch and was preceded in death by a brother, Stephen Bruce. He was superintendent of Construction for Hansel & Grainger, LLC.
Survivors include his wife, Mary India Templeton Bruce; a son, Zachary (Lisa) Driver; five grandchildren, Angie, Matt, Ryan, Khristie, and Morgan; a great-grandchild, Brady; a sister, Meg Welch and two brothers, Monty Welch and Jon Welch.

Thomas Albert Crosby
May 21, 1930 - May 1, 2017
Mr. Thomas Albert Crosby, age 86, passed away Monday, May 1, 2017.
Funeral services were held Friday, May 5, 2017 in the Chapel of Williams Funeral Home of Eatonton.
Mr. Crosby was born May 21, 1930 to the late Mr. James Carl Crosby and the late Mrs. Elmer Frye Crosby. He served our Country in the U.S. Navy and was a member of the Coast Guard Auxiliary. He loved boating, ham radio and working on engines. He was preceded in death by his son, Thomas Alan Crosby.
Survivors include his wife, Jewel Crosby of Eatonton; three sons, Donald (Kristy) Crosby of Anchorage, AK, Mark (Michelle) Crosby of Chattanooga, TN and James (Diana) Crosby of Atlanta; a brother, Robert (Sara) Crosby of San Antonio, TX; 12 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren.

Toney A. Jackson
February 8, 1953 - April 17, 2017
Mr. Toney “Hawk” Jackson was born in Putnam County February 8, 1953 to Ms. Irene Early and Mr. Robert Lee Jackson, who preceded him in death. He departed his earthly life April 17, 2017 after a lengthy illness.
Funeral services were held Friday, April 28, 2017 in the chapel of Bernard's Family Funeral Care in Eatonton. Rev. Gregory Ellison, officiated and Minister David Abrams presented the eulogy.
Toney was a special person who liked spending time with his family and friends. He also loved fishing and watching wrestling and soap operas. He graduated from PCHS in 1971 and later went to trade school, obtaining a degree in Water Works. He was employed by the Putnam County Board of Education, where he worked for 25 years until his retirement. He was loved by all the teachers and children.
He was preceded in death by a grandmother who raised him, Mrs. Grace Harrison; an aunt, Mrs. Nevonia Davis and an uncle, Mr. Robert Early all of Eatonton.
He leaves to cherish his memories, his daughters, Ms. Christy Greene of Eatonton and Ms. Anika Jackson of Stone Mountain; aunts, Mrs. Joan Jones and Mrs. Jessie Early of Eatonton; grandchildren, Ms. Amber Hurt, Mr. Marcus Hurt, Mr. Christopher Greene, all of Eatonton, Ms. Asharia Jackson, Zyhira Jackson of Stone Mountain; great-grandchild, Master Nick West Jr. of Eatonton; a devoted cousin, Ms. Tina Davis of Eatonton; a special cousin, Mr. De'Mario Cosby of Eatonton, whom heloved like a son; a host of friends and special friends of the class of 1971.

Doris Sanders Logan
Doris Sanders Logan, age 93, passed away Wednesday, May 3, 2017 at a local hospital.
A celebration of her life was held Saturday, May 6, 2017 in Macon, with burial at Asbury Methodist Church Cemetery in Gordon. The Rev. Mark Hudgins officiated.
Mrs. Logan was the wife of the late Lawrence Woodrow Logan and was born in Gordon. She was the daughter of the late Robert Marion Sanders and Daisy Aycock Sanders. She was a Registered Nurse, earning her degree during World War II as an Army Cadet at Crawford Long Hospital. Mrs. Logan retired from the Medical Center of Central Georgia. She was a charter member of Ingleside Baptist Church and a charter member of Manley Memorial Baptist Church in Eatonton.
Survivors include two daughters, Karen L. (Wayne) Crowley of Macon and Laurel Iris (Ian) Tinney of Berthoud, CO; two grandsons, Dathan Tinney and Jared Tinney, several nieces, nephews and cousins.
