Vincent Kyles Farley died Wednesday, Dec. 28, 2016.
The funeral service was Monday, Jan. 2 at Putnam Memorial Funeral Home.
Vincent Farley was born Nov. 12, 1953 in Eatonton and was the son of the late Willie Frank Farley Sr. and Mrs. Annie Ruth Farley.

He attended Butler-Baker School.

He began working as a teenager, his current job was an attendant for Advance Disposal.

He was a kind, quiet soul and loved his family, fishing and tinkering on machines and cars.
Survivors include his devoted wife, Delphine Farley; two loving sons, Keon Farley and Isaiah McElhenney; his mother, Annie Ruth Farley; three sisters, Satina Harden and Raponzel Farley, both of Eatonton, Vivian Green of Jonesboro; three brothers, Willie Frank (Clara) FarleyJr. of Eatonton, Eldred (Freda) Farley of Atlanta and George (Jovann) Farley of Copperas Cove, Texas; sisters-in-law, Mary (Aubrey) McElhenney, Jean Smith, Lorraine (Ray) Banks, Bobby (Melvin) Sands, Linda McCoyt and the late, Saundra Alacorn and Peggy McElhenney; four brother-in-laws, Jesse J. McElhenney, Albert McElhenney, Michael L. Sands and Tommy L. Sands; two aunts, Elzora Dunn and Julia M. Pharm; two uncles, George Jordan and Jimmy Farley; several nieces, nephews, cousins; and a host of other relatives and friends.

Martha Mason Forney
Martha Mason Forney, a longtime resident of Oxford, passed away Dec. 26, 2016 at the age of 85.
The funeral service wasThursday, Dec. 29 at Allen Memorial United Methodist Church, with interment following in Oxford Historical Cemetery.
Mrs. Forney was an active member of Allen Memorial United Methodist Church, in Oxford and former president of the Oxford Historical Shrine Society.

She obtained her bachelor's degree from the University of Georgia, and worked as a chemist for the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention in Atlanta.

Mrs. Forney was an avid flower gardener and enjoyed baking, cooking and traveling the world. Additionally, she cherished her family and friends and loved hosting them in her home.

Mrs. Forney was preceded in death by her husband, John Forney; her parents, RobertSr., and Jeffie (Fitzpatrick) Mason; a niece, Martha Liann Mason; and a nephew, Richard Lee Mason.

Survivors include two step-daughters, Susan Reichman, Sharon Lee and her husband, Todd, all of Stone Mountain; a step-son, David Forney and his wife, Michelle, of Lilburn; a brother and sister-in-law, Bob and Rachel Mason of Covington; three nieces, Debbie Williams and her husband, John, of Winder, Elizabeth Mason of Covington and Bonnie Mason of Athens.

Charles Thomas Garner
Mr. Charles "Chuck" Thomas Garner, 65, passed away Tuesday, Dec. 27, 2016.

A funeral Mass was celebrated Saturday, Dec. 31 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Milledgeville.
Mr. Garner lived in Atlanta for most of his adult life before moving to Lake Sinclair 15 years ago. He was the son of the late Thomas Charles and Margaret Ward Garner.

He was a retired electrician from Henry Sign Company and a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church.
Survivors include his wife, Ingrid Garner of Eatonton; a daughter, Megan (Justin) Campany of Boynton Beach, Fla.; three sons, Graham Hancock of St. George, Utah, Michael (Amy) Garner and Chris (Tricia) Garner, all of Stockbridge; two sisters, Debbie (Tony) Bowen of S.C. and Barbara Bridges of Stockbridge; a brother, Gene Alan Garner of Tennessee; and four grandchildren.

John Wayne Guthrie Jr.

John Wayne Guthrie Jr., 52, of Eatonton passed away Friday, Dec. 30, 2016.
A memorial service will be planned at a later date.
John Guthriewas born Feb. 19, 1964 in Orlando, Fla. He enjoyed laughing, and spending time with his family. He was preceded in death by his adoptive mother, Lucille Guthrie, her husband, Jesse E. Guthrie, and his biological father, John Wayne Guthrie Sr.
Survivors include his biological mother, Barbara Guthrie Eddington (Gary), of Tupelo, Miss.; four sisters, Nancy Miller (Jesse) of Eatonton, Betty Kropog (Mark), Donna Soderstrom (Ken), Elsie Irving (Dwayne); four brothers, Ernest Guthrie (Kim), Robert Williams, Gary Eddington Jr. and Marcus Eddington, all of Mississippi.

Hubert Charles Jackson
Jan. 25, 1940-Dec. 27, 2016
Hubert Charles Jackson, 76, passed away Dec. 27, 2016 at his residence.
A celebration of life is planned for 2p.m. Saturday, Jan. 21 at the Jackson residence, 180 Briar Patch Road, Eatonton.
Hubert was born Jan. 25, 1940 in Gwinnett County to the late Andrew Emerson Jackson and Nellie Madora Jennings Jackson.

He was a member of the Shiloh Baptist Church of Norcross and was a master gardener and enjoyed deer hunting, playing golf and almost anything outdoors.

On Jan. 18, 2017, he and his loving wife, Christine would have been married 60 years.
Survivors include his wife Christine Jackson; a daughter, Debra Padgett (David) of Cumming; three sons, Dwayne Jackson (Cindy) of Grayson, Darryl Jackson of Loganville, and Clint Jackson of Eatonton; eight grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

Mary Frances Roberts
Feb. 7, 1926-Dec. 29, 2016
Mary Frances Roberts, 90, of Eatonton passed away Dec. 29, 2016.
The funeral service was Tuesday, Jan. 3 at Lake Country Baptist Church.
She was born Feb. 7, 1926 to the late Lawson and Ella Mae Ellerbee.

She was a member of Lake Country Baptist Church and enjoyed gardening, readingand spending time with her family.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her loving husband, Marcus A. Roberts.
Survivors include a son, Roy Roberts and his wife, Brenda of Eatonton; two granddaughters, Michelle Roberts of Holly Springs and Racquel Roberts of Tucker; four great-grandchildren, Keith Howard and Lindsay Howard of Holly Springs, Lauren Roberts and Bella Roberts of Tucker.
The family requests memorial contributions be made to the church she loved so much, Lake Country Baptist Church.

Jerry E. Tapley

Jerry E. Tapley, 82, passed away Monday, Dec. 26, 2016.

The funeral service was Thursday, Dec. 29 in the Chapel of Macon Memorial Park Funeral Home and burial followed in Macon Memorial Park Cemetery with the Rev. Joe McDaniel officiating.
Jerry Tapley was born in Alston, to the late John Rozier Tapley and Annie Ruth Walker Tapley. He was a 1954 graduate of Lanier High School and served in the United States Army.

He was retired from Armstrong World Industries after 43 years of service as a maintenance supervisor.

He was an avid bowler for 50 years in Macon and Milledgeville and was on the Putnam County Board of Equalization.

He was of the Baptist faith and was a devoted and loving husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, brother and uncle.
Survivors include his wife, Lanette Tapley; two daughters, Cindy Crowley and Karen (Toby) Clubb; three grandchildren, Cassie Crowley, Jarrett (Haley) Clubb and Payne Clubb; two great-grandchildren, Jacie and Clary; four brothers, Leon Tapley, Ralph (Pat) Tapley, Joel (Jackie) Tapley and James Tapley; a sister, Deborah (Danny) Elliott; a sister-in-law, Colleen Favors; as well as several nieces and nephews.
