Beverly Ann Reynolds Chalmers
The funeral service for Mrs. Beverly Reynolds Chalmers, 59, was Saturday, Nov. 26, 2016 in Marshall Memorial Baptist Church with the Rev. Scott Harrell officiating. Interment followed in Crestlawn Cemetery.
Mrs. Chalmers was a native of St. Petersburg, Fla., but had made her home in Eatonton for a number of years. She was preceded in death by her mother, Mary Ann Harrell Reynolds; a daughter, Donna Shackleford; and her husband, John Chalmers.
Survivors include her daughter, Dawn Reynolds; four sons, Matt Pippin, Ray Pippin, Chris Shackleford, Curtis Shackleford; her father, Willie Reynolds, three sisters, Robin Guwin, Neva Evans and Shirley Campbell; three brothers, Wain Harrell, Randy Reynolds and Billy Harrell; and a number of other relatives.

Bobby Lee Jones

June 6, 1945-Dec. 21, 2016

Mr. Bobby Jones of 611 Rock Lane, Eatonton, departed this life Wednesday, Dec. 21, 2016 at his residence.

He was born in Putnam County June 6, 1945 to the late Elsie Scott Jones and Lucious Jones Sr. Brothers preceded him in death, Lucious Jr., Rufusand Joe Henry Jones.
He attended Butler-Baker Grammar School and joined Pinkerton Grove Baptist Church at an early age. He served in the United States Army and fought in the Vietnam War.

He worked as a dairyman for many years and enjoyed fishing gardening and recycling metal until his health failed him. He was united in marriage to his wife, Ruby, on Aug. 1, 1980.
He leaves to cherish his memory his wife, Ruby Jones; four children, Ulysses (Sharon) Jones of Covington, Reginald Jones of Madison, Jeffery Jones and Audrey Wallace, both of Eatonton; four  step-children, Tess Trippe of Eatonton, Victor (Marie) Lane of Augusta, Pam (Kevin) Dorsey of Eatonton, Tammy (Cameron) Brown of Sparta; a sister, Dorothy Jones of Eatonton; three brothers,  Paul Jones of Eatonton, the Rev. Charlie (Barbara) Jones of Eastpoint, and the Rev. Willie C. (Lucy) Jones Sr. of Eatonton; two aunts, Pearlie Mae Little of Eatonton and Doris Bailey of Decatur; four uncles, George Scott of Eatonton, Lenzer Scott, Earnest Scottand James Scott, all of Decatur; 12 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
The funeral service was Monday, Dec. 26 at Pinkerton Grove Baptist Church, 490 Crooked Creek Road SE, Eatonton. The Rev. Willie C. JonesSr., pastor, officiated and burial followed in the cemetery at Greater Bell's Chapel Baptist Church in Putnam County.
