Walter Martin Boyett

Walter Martin “Marty” Boyett, 55, of Porterdale passed away Friday, December 16, 2016.
A memorial service was conducted Monday, Dec. 19 at the Chapel of J.C. Harwell and Son Funeral Home in Covington.
Marty was born Jan. 30, 1961 in Atlanta to the late Iva and Martha ResseauBoyett.He was an avid University of Georgia Bulldog fan, he loved playing cards and enjoyed watching his grandchildren play sports. He also loved his Mama very much.Marty grew up in Eatonton and attended Putnam County Schools and enjoyed playing trumpet in the school band.
Survivors include three children Sonya (John) Maddox of Porterdale, David (Julie) Hewell of Lawrenceville, Heather (Dennis) Dickson of Social Circle; eight grandchildren, Kenzi Maddox, Brea Dickson, Maxie Maddox, Alyssa Dickson, Ava Hewell, Anna Hewell, Stephen Persaud and KobiFambrough; a brother, Tommy (Mary) Boyett of Marietta; several cousins; and other family members and friends.
J.C. Harwell and Son Funeral Home in Covington had charge of arrangements.

Roger Penn Golden

Mr. Roger Penn Golden, 76, passed away Monday, Dec. 12, 2016.

Memorial services were Friday, Dec. 16 in the historical sanctuary of Eatonton First United Methodist Church with the Rev. Boyd Dennard officiating.
Mr. Golden was a native of Jersey City, N.J. and had lived in Putnam County for the last 13 years.After moving to Eatonton, he worked for the Putnam County school system as a school bus driver. He was a firefighter and the former mayor of Oxford, N.J. Mr. Golden also served as a foster father.
Survivors include three sons, Daniel Golden and John Padilla, both of Eatonton, and Odell Gene Golden of Greensboro, N.C.

Sandra Williams Myrick

Sandra Williams Myrick of 579 Old Monticello Road, Milledgeville, entered rest on Friday, Dec. 16, 2016 in an Atlanta healthcare facility.Friends may visit the family at the residence.
The Homegoing Celebration for Mrs. Sandra Williams Myrick is set for noon Friday, Dec. 23, at PineRidge Baptist Church with interment to follow in the church cemetery.
Survivors include two daughters, Sabrina Myrick of Lithonia, and Keasha Myrick of Lawton, Okla.;three brothers, Roosevelt (Janie) Williams of Milledgeville, Willie Williams of Decatur and Herman (Deborah) Williams of Graniteville, S.C.;three sisters, Laura Williams and Mildred (Ronnie) Glenn, both of Decatur and Cheryl (William) Hemphill of Stone Mountain; three sisters-in-law, Roxie Myrick of Milledgeville and Barbara (Elijah) of Fort Valley and Della Myrick of Milledgeville and host of other relatives.
