Mr. Willie H. Williams answered the call to his heavenly mansion on Friday, March 20, 2020 at 4:47 p.m. with his beloved sister by his side. Willie fought a good fight; he kept the faith.
Funeral Services were held on Wednesday, March 25 at Pleasant Grove Primitive Baptist Church, Eatonton Georgia, Elder Donald Tuft, Officiating. Burial followed at Clements Chapel Methodist Church Cemetery.
Willie was born Oct. 21, 1954, to the parentage of Adolphus Sr. and Gladys Williams of Putnam County. Willie was a lifelong resident of Eatonton, Putnam County. He was retired from Georgia Power.
Willie was an avid fisherman and hunter until his health failed him. He was a creative glass and mirror cutter. Willie also created several pieces of mirrored wall art. He loved to draw pictures of futuristic cars. Willie was a 1972 graduate of Putnam County High School. He later served his country by joining the U.S. Army. Willie served a 3-year tour of duty in Germany and was honorably discharged. After returning home from serving his country, he was united in holy matrimony to Lillian Humphries on Oct. 2, 1981. On Jan. 1, 1984 their only beloved son, L’Erin Ricoh was born. Willie loved Ricoh with all his heart. Ricoh was the light of his life. His wife Lillian and son Ricoh passed in early 2019. Willie is also preceded in death his wife Lillian, son Ricoh, both his parents, his brothers; Oscar, Peter, Edward, Adolphus Jr. and his sister Jacquelyn Pounds, mother-in-law Jannie Mae Humphries, sister-in-law Carolyn Clemons, brother-in-law David “Sonny” Humphries.
Willie will forever be remembered with love by his adoring sisters, Ms. Dilcie Williams-Jones, Pine Hill, N.J. and Ms. Doris Clemons, Eatonton; Brothers, Mr. James Williams, Milledgeville, Mr. Sammy (Syree) Williams, Eatonton; one granddaughter, Erin Williams, Augusta; one daughter-in-law, Jennifer Williams, Monroe; Sisters-in-law, Betty J. Williams, Eatonton. Betty (Williams Jr) Davis of Pflugerville, Texas, Sally Humphries, Eatonton, Annie Ruth Williams; Brothers-in-law, Larry (Tricia) Humphries, Eustis, FL, James Humphries, Athens and Freddy (Debra) Humphries, Atlanta. Special nephews, Andre, Jadon, and Terrence Williams, Reginald Solomon AKA: “The Four Amigos” whom he loved as his own sons. Several other nieces and nephews, One aunt, Mrs. Agnes Williams, Detroit, Mich., and a host of cousins and friends.
