Rachel Alexandra (Alex, Ally) Allen, 29, died suddenly on July 1, 2019, at her residence in Portland, Oregon. She was the cherished and beloved daughter of Melanie Nugent of Tallahassee, Florida, and Powell Allen of Brunswick. She was also the identical twin sister of Sara Allen Rudelich and granddaughter of Eleanor and the late Jack Perkinson, all former residents of Eatonton. She attended Putnam County schools through eighth grade before moving to Warthen. There, she participated in many extracurricular and academic activities. She went on to graduate from Washington County High school with honors in 2008. She also attended Georgia Southern University in Statesboro. Alex was a member of the Eatonton First United Methodist Church and enthusiastic participant in the Youth group for many years. Alex was a gifted, witty, bright, fun loving, intelligent, empathetic, understanding, caring, and talented child of God who could light up a room. She put a smile on your face when she came through the door, and she will be sadly missed by all who knew her. A Celebration of Life will be held in Brunswick with interment in the Perkinson family cemetery in Riceville, Tennessee, followed by a reception for friends and family in Chattanooga.
