CANDI MORENO

Hometown: Eatonton.

Current residence: Eatonton.

New Position: Academic Support for Middle School.

Education/degrees: I am a 1997 graduate of Gatewood and graduated in 2003 with a Bachelor’s Degree from Georgia College and State University and I am currently working on my Master’s.

Previous employment: For the last two years I was a teacher at Putnam County Primary School as a K-4 teacher.  

Family: I have been married for 14 years to Armando Moreno. We have to children Taylor 12 and Landon 10. They both attend Gatewood Schools. We also have a dog named Charlie.

More info: My hobbies are spending time with my family and friends, traveling and anything outdoors.

DAULTON VEAL

Hometown: Sandersville, Ga.

Current residence  Milledgeville, Ga.

New position:  Middle School Science, Assistant Varsity Baseball and Softball Coach

Education/degree: Bachelor’s Degree in Exercise Science from Georgia College and State University. Working on Masters Degree in education at GC&SU.

Previous employment/experience: Sales representative with The Fastenal Company

Family: Single

More info:  Played baseball at East Gerogia College in Swainsboro, Ga. I value spending time with friends and family. Love traveling and visiting new places.

BETH MOSS

Hometown: Madison, Ga.

Current residence: Eatonton, Ga.

New position: eighth and tenth grade English teacher

Education/degrees: Morgan County High School 1998, Georgia Military College – Associates in Education, Piedmont College – Bachelors in middle Grades Education.

Previous employment: Morgan County Middle School seventh and eighth grade teacher for 10 years, George Walton Academy (Monroe, Ga.) third and eighth grade for foure years and head cheer coach for four years.

Family: Married for 14 years to Michael Jay Moss Jr.  2 children: Presley Moss (10) and Michael Moss III (8) family pet Dooley our white bulldog.  Presley is a Gator Girl at Gatewood and my son Michael is playing tackle football this season.   

More info: I was named Teacher of the Year for Morgan County Middle school as well as Morgan County System Teacher of the Year 2011-2012. I’m the Youth Director and member of Pennington Methodist Church in Madison. I am a very enthusiastic person and cannot wait to shout “GO GATORS” as a member of the Gatewood team and family.

VIKKI DRAWDY

Hometown: Eatonton, Ga.

Current residence: Eatonton, Ga.

New position: third grade teacher (English/ Language Arts, reading, social studies)

Education: Masters in Early Childhood Education from Georgia College and State University; reading endorsement outstanding major in curriculum.

Previous employment/experience: Putnam County Charter School System for 30 years.

Family: Married to Tommy Drawdy, two adult children John (Jessica) Toole and Melissa (Robert) Smith, five grandchildren.

More info: Gatewood class of 1976, member of FERST Foundation; hobbies: reading, music and spending time with family.

HALEY WINGO

Hometown: Monroe, Ga.

Current residence: Greensboro, Ga.

New position: High school chemistry teacher

Education/degrees: Bachelors of Science in Chemistry

Previous employment/ experience: pharmacy technician

Family: single with a dog.

MICHELLE TYSON

Hometown: Macon, Ga. Current residence: Eatonton, Ga. New position: middle and high school math Education/degrees: bachelor of science in mathematics; Masters in teaching from Georgia College and State University. Previous employment/experience: 10 years teaching. Taught at Gatewood from 2006 to 2012. Family: married 18 years to Chris Tyson. Two children: Kyle, 11 and Bailey, 9. More info: I’m a member of Adoptive and Foster Parent Association of Putnam County and a former Cub Scout leader.

BRITTANY COLLIS

Hometown: White Plains, Ga.

Current residence: Eatonton, Ga.

New position: School Counselor

Education/degrees: Nathanael Greene Academy 2008 (high school), Liberty University-Bachelors in Psychology, University of The Cumberlands-Masters in School Counseling  

Previous employment: Oconee County Schools 3 years

Family: Married to David Collis from Eatonton Georgia and we have one son named Anderson who is 7 months old and two dogs named Teddy and Lucy.  

More info: I enjoy running and have enjoyed teaching BodyCombat at Bodyplex Lake Oconee these last 4 years. My husband and I are involved at LakePoint Community Church.
