Mothers Against Crime express appreciation for help

To the Editor:

Mothers Against Crime would like to take a moment and thank this beautiful, quaint little town and county for all the gracious help and friendship throughout the year.

On June 9, 2018, we started off the summer with our youth rally at beautiful Oconee Springs Park. We had a great time with a cookout, games, swimming and words of wisdom. It would not be a success without Susan and Donnie Campbell. They are absolutely fabulous, and everyone loves their enthusiasm. The children enjoyed the K-9 dog and deputy also.

On July 14, 2018, we held our annual Gospel Concert at Putnam County Middle School. It was a success and we dedicated the program in memory of Andy Harris.

On July 28, we held a Back to School Party at Montgomery Homes with school supplies and a cookout for the young people. Again, another success. We really want to thank Vonda and Eatonton Housing Authority along with Lynn and Monique who worked so faithfully.

All of the events we held this year were a success because of people like you! Especially EPC, PCSO, PC. EMS, DNR, Nonsense and Mischief, Eatonton Fire Department, Putnam County Fire Department, the PCMS Football Team and coach, Dr. and Mrs. Bob Betzel, Dr. and Mrs. Brad Lipman, Mr. and Mrs. Alan Foster, Mr. and Mrs. Steve Hersey, Mr. and Mrs. Dan Nicholls, Eatonton Kiwanis, Mrs. Kaye Steven, Mr. and Mrs. Mike Merritt, Mr. and Mrs. Billy Webster, the staff and members of Putnam County Charter School System, the churches and last but definitely not least Mothers Against Crime members for all the hard work.

Remember, we are cosponsoring the Annual Candlelight Vigil at PCMS at 6:30 p.m. on Aug. 24 and Gatewood School at 6:30 p.m. on Oct. 26.

We are also sponsoring the Big Christmas Party with gifts, games and fellowship for all kids ages 4 to 18 on Dec. 8 at the Putnam County Recreational Department.

God Bless you,

Mothers Against Crime.

P.S. Remember, we meet the first Monday of each month except on holidays at 7 p.m. We need more members. Call 706-485-5332 for more information.
