Irma Jane Robertson Marshall of Eatonton passed away Nov. 11, 2019 after losing her battle with cancer. A celebration of life was held Nov. 15, 2019 at Williams Funeral Home, Eatonton, GA. She will be interred at Grace Episcopal Church Cemetery in Brema Bluff, VA.

Irma was born in Lexington, VA on Aug. 5, 1944. She was a proud daughter of Virginia but embraced her local Georgia home since moving here twelve years ago. Irma’s friends and neighbors regularly comment on her positive and upbeat outlook on life and hope for the future even while she was ill. Irma will also be remembered for her unwavering patriotism and love for our Lord Jesus Christ. She was a member of River of Life Church of Eatonton and attended Lakeside Church of Lake Oconee. Irma often shared the blessings she received from church, especially her small group. Irma attended both Virginia Tech and UVA. She spent most of her working career in the service of others as a teacher followed by working as a case manager and counselor for those in need. After moving to Georgia, Irma continued to serve as a case manager for Goodwill Industries at Lake Oconee. While there, Irma’s service to others led to her being named Goodwill Employee of the Year for the Central Savannah River Area. She was also named Kiwanian of the Year and was a graduate of Leadership Putnam. Irma was preceded in death by her parents, Everett and Katherine Robertson; a daughter, Melissa Lynn Clemmer; and her late husband, Harry T. Marshall III.

Irma is survived by her daughter, Mindy Andrews (Rob) of Monticello, GA; granddaughters-in-love, Sarah and Mary Andrews; as well as many loving cousins. Irma will be missed by many special friends she also thought of as family.
