Gloria Mae Farley departed this life on Dec. 31, 2018.

Memorial services for Mrs. Farley, 94, were held Saturday afternoon at St. John A.M.E. Church, with Pastor Wayne Griffin, Sr. officiating. The repast was held at the St. John annex.

Mrs. Farley was born to the parentage of Lacy and Adeline Lawson on Feb. 3, 1924.

She was very devoted to St. John A.M.E. Church, where she served as a mother on the Mother Board. She also became an active member of the choir. Mrs. Farley was an enjoyable, friendly and truthful person. In 1941, she was united in marriage to Glenwood Farley, who preceded her in death. To this union, four children were born. She leaves a golden legacy of life, love and hope, which will immortalize and keep her spirit present.

She leaves to cherish her memories: two daughters, Gloria Bland (Timmy) and Jewel Malcolm, both of Eatonton, Georgia; one son, Herman Farley (Earnestine) of Brooklyn, New York; three grandchildren, Tymon Farley of Eatonton, Chasity Smith (Tony) of Covington, Georgia, and Leanesheia Farley of Eatonton; several great-grandchildren, along with a host of other relatives and friends.

Hurt’s Funeral Home of Eatonton was in charge of final arrangements.
