Mr. Eric Charles Wilson II departed this life to be with the Lord on August 15, 2018 after having a fatal traffic accident.

A ceremony honoring his life was held Saturday, August 25, 2018 at Springfield Missionary Baptist Church, 2140 Bethany Church Rd, and Madison, GA with Emeritus W. J. Reid eulogist and Rev Kenneth Jones pastor, officiating. Burial was followed in the church yard cemetery.

Eric was born December 18, 1990, the son of Eric Charles Wilson and Debbie Smith Solomon. As a young boy, he accepted Christ in his life and joined Springfield Baptist Church. In addition, he was a member of children’s chapel ministry and sang in the youth choir. Eric loved his family dearly and never missed a family gathering. At an early age you would find him outside helping his grandparents in the garden or riding on a tractor with his grandfather Albert. He worked hard but also enjoyed life. When not working, you would catch him fishing, watching sports, or enjoying time with family and friends. He also had a passion for race cars and sporty vehicles.

Eric graduated from Putnam County High School in 2009 and attended University of Georgia technical college. He played T-ball as a little boy and football in High School. Eric had numerous jobs, but driving trucks was his favorite. He is preceded in death by grandfather, Albert Smith Sr.

Eric we will see you in the morning. We all miss you!

Cherishing his memories are his parents, Eric Charles Wilson of North Point, Fla. and mother Debbie Smith Solomon of Lithonia: two sisters, Dominique Wilson of Augusta and Deidra Solomon of Lithonia; grandparents Ruby Smith of Eatonton and Dorothy A. Allen of Augusta, Jimmie I. Allen, of Thomasville, ; nephew Xavier James, and aunts, numerous uncles, cousins and friends.

Pallbearers and floral bearers were cousins and the Class of 2009.

Hurt’s Funeral Home of Eatonton were in charge of final arrangements.
