Mrs. Elizabeth “Libby” Susan Cown Riley, 73, passed away on Tuesday, August 7, 2018.

Funeral services were held on Thursday, August 9, 2018 in Hope Lutheran Church. Interment followed in Baldwin Memorial Gardens.

Mrs. Riley was a native of Atlanta, grew up in Stone Mountain and had lived in Milledgeville since 1969. She was the daughter of the late Hubert Eugene and Helen Jo Womack Cown. She was an Licensed Practical Nurse at Baldwin County Hospital for 40 years, a member of Hope Lutheran Church and Lutheran Women Mission League.

She was preceded in death by a son, Thomas Edward Riley.

She is survived by her husband, Charles H. Riley, Jr. of Milledgeville; sons, Charles Eugene Riley (Joni) of Eatonton, Andy Riley (Jessica) of Dacula, William “Mark” Riley (Amber) of Milledgeville; sister, Vickie Tyus (Marion) of Loganville; brothers, H.E. Cown, Jr. (Nancy) of Bishop, James Edward Cown of Fayetteville; and grandchildren, Gabrielle Carter, Grayson Riley, Garrison Riley, and Griffin Riley.

Flowers accepted and for those who wish expressions of sympathy may be made to Hope Lutheran Church or the American Cancer Society.
