Charles Faulk, 74, of 108A Little River Court South, Eatonton, died Tuesday, Sept. 3, 2019, at his residence.

Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 7, in the chapel of Brannen-NeSmith Funeral Home of Unadilla. Interment with military honors was in Elko Cemetery.

Charles was born in Unadilla. He was the son of the late Albert S. Faulk and Viola Burnette Faulk. He served his country with honor in the United States Army. He was a veteran of the Vietnam War and received the Purple Heart. He retired from Robins Air Force Base. Charles was a very loving and giving man who always helped those in need. He loved hunting and fishing. He fought his battle with cancer courageously to the very end. He was preceded in death by his siblings, Buddy Faulk and Dorothy F. Giddens.

He is survived by his wife, Gail Faulk of Eatonton; his children, Charr Groves (Matthew) of Eastman, Angela Orr of Tanner, Ala., Kevin Pless (Stephani) of Albemarle, N.C., Gary Pless of Oklahoma City, Okla., and Wesley Hodge of Heflin, Ala.; his sisters, Ella Taylor (Tommy) of Warner Robins and Vivian Albright of Huntsville, Ala.; six grandchildren; and 11 great grandchildren.
