The Steffen Thomas Museum held its annual meeting last week, and nearly every seat was taken for the event. The museum, located at 4200 Bethany Road, Buckhead, provides a unique experience for local residents or anyone in the region. The museum in dedicated to the work of one artist: Steffen Thomas. If you decide to pay a visit, you might be surprised that one artist could be prolific in so many different media.

The STMA is dedicated to preserving and exhibiting the work of Steffen Thomas and has a large collection of his sculpture, paintings, mosaics, ceramics, furniture, drawings, personal papers and artifacts. According to the museum’s website, the collection demonstrates that “the power of artistic expression enables people of all ages to discover and develop their own talents, as well as achieving a deeper understanding of themselves and the connection of humankind to the environment and other living beings.
